  1. Hi

Wet and windy times out there which means most of us are spending our spare time in our homes and this is always a good excuse to  either pre-Spring clean or clear paperwork, clothing or move furniture around.  Shops already have their Spring/Summer lines in and I always think once we get nearer to March that the worst of Winter is over.

I have been shifting furniture and wall decor around just for a change and its always surprising how this can lift a room and your mood.  I have all my summer window dressings and cushions ready for that shift in weather.  I am also losing hours looking at the Pinterest site for inspiration and creating boards for fun and reference.

As usual greens feature heavily in homeware stores and there is also a lot of yellow accents which again can lift a room.

I still love the classics of white and cream as your base and then adding the colour of your choice.  I still love the industrial look, with hints of the English Country look and a bit of French chic thrown in not to mention some Gustavian greys and blues.

I know its been a while since I updated my blog and site but hope to be showing some new merchandise shortly so please keep looking and if you would like me to source a piece please contact me using details on the contact page.

Wishing you an early Spring - in your step.....

  2. Hi

Haven't blogged for a while - but still keeping my eye on home trends attending fairs and antique markets and have some new items to upload in the next week or two so please look back soon.

Have seen lots of ladders used in styling in home/lifestyle magazines lately and I have a couple of those that look great with books, scarves, shoes, jewellery or knick knacks on.  Am also loving those old wooden trolleys which are great as side tables and look great either polished or painted and am trying to get more of those.

As for wall decor - am still loving typography and lettering and have done for some time now and they are great interspersed with photos and floral paintings and prints which I am also trying to get hold more of.

Although its very rainy at the moment there are still lovely spring flowers available and love a mixture of lots of different sprays in jugs (my favourite vase for years) loving greens, golds, mustard and pinks in with neutral old whites and creams in decorating terms and a bit of duck egg blue and white always look fresh in Spring too.

Anyway will blog again soon and promise to have a lot more homeware in the shop soon.
